This is a msg from a non muslim that i saw in one site and i loved:
I am not Muslim, but have quite a few Muslim friends and I know enough overall about this religion to know that it is based off of a peaceful nature and directs people towards being kindhearted. So, for those of you who disprove of what this woman is wearing I think it best if you yourself remember your religious values (or if you don't have a religion morals at least) before you start saying hateful things. Everyone has a right to express their opinion please just do it w/ class and kindness. My personal opinion is that this is a great message to spread to naive people who hate on this religion because it is linked to terrorist attacks (yet ignore the fact that all religions went wrong somewhere due to being used for justification of violent acts.) People who practice Islam are just like the rest of us they deserve a spot in the media and equal rights as well as the right to publicly support their beliefs.

The purposes of the "Hijab": As Finalidades do "Hijab":

(and don´t forget to see misconception about hijab (that we hijabi have) )

The purposes of the "Hijab":

Many people do not know what is hijab, here are clear examples of their goals and hope you enjoy.
God does not command anything that does not have a goal or purpose. These can often be difficult to identify, but this difficulty is the result of the human limitation in understanding God's plan, but does not mean such that there are no goals or aims.
The goals presented here for using the "hijab" are only those that Muslims could yet understand, but I have no intention of believing that all possibilities have been examined and that can not be found in the future, other goals or purposes than those presented.

The purposes for implementing the use of "hijab" we can mention:

Avoid or Reduce Sexual Harassment:

Sexual harassment has been recently the subject of many discussions, but
always existed in all societies in many ways
.

The difficulty in establish and identify what should be considered sexual harassment has
made it difficult to punish those accused of such practices, even in countries where there is legislation to implement the punishment.

Many of those accused of practicing sexual harassment claim that was initially matched and that from a certain time without apparent reason, she decided to unjustly accuse them of harassment.

This may be just an excuse to escape the charge, but must also the difficulty of interpreting the so-called "signs of socialization." What may seem a kind of encouragement, may have been simply a
misinterpretation of an act of sympathy or kindness on the part of woman. Likewise, a kindness on the part of man can be considered harassment by some women.

Another difficulty is that such investments occur when those involved are are alone, and almost impossible to present witnesses fact. Attempting to set limits to punish those accused of harassment is
generated comic situations, like the case of a boy of 5 or 6 years that was accused of sexual harassment in the United States for giving a kiss face of a classmate at school.

One of the aims of the "hijab" is therefore act as a barrier clear and prominent non-responsiveness on the part of Muslims to such invested. It should be added that it is forbidden in Islam that a man and a
woman who are not married or very close relatives (father and daughter, brother and sister, mother and son, etc..) staying alone in a closed environment, even if the woman in question is a Muslim using the "hijab".

Moreover no physical contact is allowed between men and women who do not fit into the above categories. Thus, kisses on the cheek, back-slapping, hugs and handshakes are even prohibited. Many Muslims has relaxed its attitude toward the handshake, especially those living in countries which are largely non-Muslim, but prohibition exists.
Islam thus determines, clear rules of behavior and dress that become invested with any obvious sexual harassment, eliminating the possibility of argument and defense by the accused of harassment.

Importantly, the fact that a woman does not wear the "hijab" does not "Authorize" a Muslim to harass her. The "hijab" is a protection for the woman but the fact that a Muslim, for some reason, decide to give up this protection does not necessarily mean she wants to be harassed.

A Muslim must respect all women, whether they are using or not the "hijab", whether Muslim or not. He has a commitment to God to remain chaste until marriage and do not touch any woman who does not
be allowed to touch and this commitment is not tied to behavior or type of clothing worn by women of their community. It is mentioned in the Quran:
"Those who do not have the resources to marry, to remain chaste until Allah enriches them with His grace. "
(Quran Surah 24: 33)

Facilitating the Observation of chastity until marriage:

As mentioned earlier, Islam also preaches chastity to men and women until marriage and the "hijab" to facilitate the that this obligation for both parties.

See beautiful women and seductively dressed and still be chaste is not
Herculean task no doubt.
In the same way a beautiful woman who is often courted and caste is still very rare.

In both cases just speculations arise as to their "sexual preferences".
The use of "hijab" softens the natural pressures of sexual desire among members of the Muslim community who are single, divorced or widowed, until they find a partner (a) for marriage.
If a man is attracted to a woman, he might try to seduce her somehow. The woman in turn, is subject to the same desires and accept the lure as it is naive to believe that a woman who does not want to be seduced go to be seduced.

The meeting of two people in this situation whose faith is not strong enough to contain them, can result in disobedience to this obligation.
The natural barrier created by the "hijab" and the rules of conduct Islamic society, inhibit these possibilities and makes it easier to observance of this religious duty. For the same reason it is recommended that married does not give demonstrations of affection in public, in consideration of those who are alone.
Non-Muslims often associate
this attitude with the idea that there is no love and affection between couples
Muslims, due to difficulties in understanding the nature of injunctions
Islamic.

The existing practice in the Arab-Muslim communities to keep daughter
under control "fierce" and encourage or at least "close your eyes" the escapades of their sons, is not Islamic.
This form of behavior can be seen in greater or lesser degree in virtually all countries of the world, but is wrong in Islam.

Empowerment of women  With Her intellectual and moral qualities:

One of the frequent complaints of women beautiful and famous is that everyone
interest only for their looks rather than their intellect.
Many of these women go into a deep depression when they get older,  recognize that the only reason they were so admired beauty physics, is leaving.

One of the purposes for the use of "hijab" is therefore valuing the woman for their intellectual and moral qualities. Once the physical is not being taken into account, the observation of these qualities becomes the only reference to the establishment of social contact.
Intellectual and moral qualities generally increase over time, and a woman who is admired because of this qualities do not need to see a threat in old age to the space gained in the community.

Protect Woman from futility:

This is actually a different approach to the empowerment of women by their
intellectual and moral qualities, in this case applied to the way she positioned in society.

In communities where beauty opens doors, some women may be led to believe that it is only to be beautiful.
Develop and acquire knowledge and other qualities makes no sense when you can get everything, or almost everything, taking advantage
just physical beauty
. In Brazil, as in many other countries, there many famous examples, whose names are omitted for the sake of ethics.

The "hijab" protects the woman herself, the excessive and inordinate vanity
encouraged by society, and the illusion that improve themselves as being
human is unnecessary when they are beautiful.

Consideration by other women:

This is another important aspect of "hijab" that is often overlooked.
Once the physical is no longer a reference, women who do not naturally possess great attributes of beauty, has an equal opportunity in her social and professional life.
Often the request to "look good" in job advertisements, mainly to the positions of secretary and receptionist, but any one knows that "looking good" in these cases is just an understatement to say that the candidate has to be beautiful, "sexy", etc.. Those that do not fit these requirements, even to being more competent, have generally higher
difficulty being accepted in the job.

There is also the case that although women have been very beautiful in
her youth, get older they lost part of their physical beauty. It is up to younger women to be considerate and do not expose their beauty, avoiding the establishment of comparisons that would reduce the chances of happiness of the older woman.

The young must keep in mind that this woman is certainly a lot wiser than her, and her aging is probably the result of large dedication to family and community. This older woman may be her mother, aunt or other loved person and is also the future of this woman that today's young and beautiful.

Final Thoughts About the Use of "Hijab":
The use of "hijab" becomes mandatory for every Muslim woman when she reaches puberty, doesn’t matter if she is single, married, divorced or widowed and not is linked to the desire of men of the family. In fact it is necessary emphasize here that do not fit the men of the family "liberate" the´women from this obligation, it exists regardless of their personal views.
Another important fact is that when using the "hijab" has been established, the
Most women who made up the Muslim community of the time
immediately adopted.

There was no type of coercion, was not stipulated no physical punishment, and only highlighted the consequences spirit of disobedience to this and other divine commands. Beyond addition, the Prophet Muhammad (SAWS) was constituted in a model of practice religious and extremely patient when passing the Islamic teachings, which made it difficult to disobey.

Many parents do not guide their daughters in Islamic religion and yet when they reach puberty simply impose the "hijab" in the simple claim that "God sent". It is natural that the adolescent is rebel and see the use of Islamic dress a form of oppression, as in her case, the "hijab" really works this way.

Other Muslim who marry Muslim women even though not
use the "hijab", or at least not use it the way it considers
correct, but say nothing. After the marriage begin to impose a series of
determining standards model, color of clothing, etc.., and transforming his wife live in a living hell.

Not to mention those who marry non-Muslim women. In addition to imposing the
Islam as a religion, which is prohibited, even forcing them to wear the "hijab"
without any prior guidance, and without taking into account that the woman
needs time to understand and adapt to the religion. All these
wrong attitudes only serve to reinforce the stereotype of the "hijab"
as a symbol of submission and oppression.

So if a Muslim man wants to guide the women in her family
the use of "hijab", it is important that he himself is an example of
observance of religious duties. It is also essential to follow the
example of the Prophet (SAWS), being patient and caring, taking into
consideration that each person has their own personality and characteristics
that must be respected both in discussing the question of "hijab" as
in relation to any other topic.

Finally, the most important is that every Muslim be informed about
all schools of thought regarding the use of "hijab" and adopt the
that seems more consistent with the spirit of Islam. The decision to use or
not the "hijab" should not be taken to please people or the community.
It is the relationship of obedience between the woman and her Creator, and this should be the only motivation for the decision.

As Finalidades do "Hijab":

      mencionado no Alcorão:

Considerações Finais Sobre O Uso do "Hijab":

Antes disto, as revelações eram
caso dela, o “hijab” realmente funciona deste modo.
